What to Wear
Preparing for your session is such an exciting part of the experience, and choosing the right outfits plays a big role in creating those soft, timeless images you see in my portfolio. My studio style is very natural, warm, and relaxed — think cozy, home-like, and full of connection.
For Mamas
I know how important it is to feel comfortable and beautiful during your session. That’s why I provide a carefully curated collection of mama dresses available for you to use. These are designed to photograph beautifully while keeping you at ease.
On the day of your session:
- Please avoid applying tanning products
- Light, neutral underwear is recommended
For Babies & Newborns
You don’t need to worry about outfits for your little one — I’ve got everything covered.
I have a full wardrobe for newborns and babies up to 18 months, filled with beautiful, handmade, bespoke pieces. Over the years, I’ve carefully curated this collection from some of the most talented makers across Ireland, the UK, Poland, Australia, and Eastern Europe — truly the best at what they do.
Each piece is chosen with love to suit my style and photograph perfectly.
For the Whole Family
I always recommend keeping outfits simple, soft, and neutral. This helps keep the focus on your connection rather than what you're wearing.
Colour Palette
Earthy tones work best in my studio:
- Beige, oat, cream
- Rust
- Sage green
- Soft pastels
- Grey (a great option!)
Please try to avoid:
- Black, navy, dark green, or dark blue
- Bright white
- Yellow and strong blues
These colours don’t complement the warm tones of my studio.
Styling Tips
- No logos or visible branding
- Avoid mixing very light and very dark outfits together (e.g., beige next to dark brown, or white with black)
- Think soft textures like linen and natural fabrics
For Dads
Most dads opt for:
- Blue jeans or brown chinos
- Neutral, simple tops
I recommend bringing a spare top just in case — little accidents happen!
Studio Style
My studio is very relaxed and home-like:
- No formalwear needed
- No shoes — we usually shoot barefoot
Final Touches
I use a lot of “hands-on baby” posing, so your hands will naturally be part of the images.
Please make sure:
- Nails are clean and neat
- Avoid chipped nail polish
If you’re ever unsure about what to wear, I’m always happy to help guide you. You can even send me photos of your outfit ideas, and I’ll help you choose what works best for your session.
I can’t wait to create something beautiful with you 🤍
